What I won't be wearing this spring

Style is definitely a matter of taste. Some people may look at the above outfits and think "what clean modern minimalism" I look at them and try to surpress a yawn. There is absolutely nothing that inspires any joy or interest in me. I can only imagine myself in clothes like these in some kind of post apocaliptic world, where I spend my days wandering the desert looking for scraps of food. Clothes should embrace and enhance a woman's body. Women have breasts and hips, but you wouldn't know it looking at these pictures. In these outfits the profession models barely look attractive. How are us mere mortals ever supposed to wear these?

What I'll be wearing this Spring

The kiddies are back in school, the weather's getting colder and the days getting shorter. That can only mean one thing- Spring Fashion. Sure we're only starting to break out the sweaters now, but we need something to get us through the long cold winter, so we'll look ahead to Spring. I recently attended New York Fashion week (and by attended I mean browsed through pictures on my laptop at home while wearing a bathrobe) and have decided come spring I'm going to incorporate a lot more ballgowns into my wardrobe. Though I don't attend many balls, my workplace has a fairly liberal dress code, so I'm thinking I'll take to wearing my fancy frocks at the office. Of course my pretty dresses may get creased if I try and sit in them for 8 hours at a desk, so I may have to hire someone to sit and actually do my work for me. I'll just stand nearby overseeing their work and looking glamorous. Hmm..on second thought standing around for 8 hours may get a little boring, so I think I'll need to hire some puppeteers to entertain me. They can reenact scenes from the movie "The Room". Of course this all these ballgowns and hired help will eat up a lot of my paycheck, but dammit I'll look smashing!

A horse with no name

Been living out of a backpack most of the time lately, therefore not dressing very fancy. (I haven't become homeless or anything, just spending a lot of time at the BF's and friend's houses lately) I find during the summer I dress a lot more casually. This summer especially's been so hot, my main priority when getting dressed is staying cool and comfy. The weather's cooling down now though, so it's easier to mix up my looks with cardigans, jackets, tights and such. Fall always renews my interest in fashion. Unlike most of the world, which seems to come alive in the spring, fall is when the fashion world blooms.
For now, thought I'd post some pics from last week's Fake Prom that I attended, the theme was The Old Wild West. I figured most gals would be going cowgirl, so I decided to dress up like a Native. (If you're looking for a Halloween costume, I got some of my stuff from http://www.costumecraze.com/, prices are decent and they have a fairly good selection) My friend Marie decided on the ol' saloon girl look and looked quite fab.
