Rat-tat-tat Ka-Boom
This weekend is a long weekend in Canada. It's the weekend we celebrate the birth of Queen Victoria. Or the death. Or something like that. More typically it's the weekend Canadians celebrate by drinking beer and lighting fireworks (which is always a good combination) We also celebrate Canada day and labour day in very similar fashions. I will be celebrating in a less traditional manner, by working. Well at least I got Saturday and Sunday off, I just won't be able to join in the merriment tomorrow. I had a great weekend though, I got to spend it with some of my favourite people. Yesterday my friend Marie was in town, so we got to spend some time loitering around the mall, just like old times. She's pictured here with me, sporting the worlds funkiest yamaka. (lol, ok, it's a fascinator headband thingy, it's actually pretty dammed cute) She managed to score quite a haul at H&M. I mostly behaved myslef because I knew I was going shopping with my mum today. There was however a certain necklace from H&M I was going to literally die without and after my previous near death expreience last week, I didn't want to take the risk. You'll have to stay tuned to see it later though.
The dress here, I'd planned on wearing during my 27 dresses escapade. I somehow completley missed it though, so you get to see it now. I also managed to find two more dresses at Value Village today, so believe it or not, there's still more dresses in store for this summer.
Dress: Ricki's
Stockings: Forever 21
Necklace: Le Chateau
Shoes: Costa Blanca. RIP.
(I've loved these shoes to death, they're starting to completely fall apart. Not to fret, I got two new pairs of flats today to replace them)
