Plastic Fantastic

Channeling my inner Carmen Miranda today. I felt like wearing something bright and cheerful. The dress I scored at a clothes swap last year. I'll be attending another one in a week, so looking forward to some great finds. The necklace I made (yup those are those powder filled candy fruits) I strung them together using safety pins. The shoes are from Aldo's, they used to be the yellow colour and tan, but I scuffed the toes all up, so I painted them with nail polish.
Cardigan is Faith 21
Belt Laura
Stockings Forever 21
Purse vintage from Value Village.

  4. I have never heard of anyone painting their shoes with nail polish... I LOVE it. I use a marker sometimes on black shoes when I can't find polish - but that is a much more "female-edge" kind of idea.

Great find with that dress, by the way. x.

  5. Thanks dolls :)
Gabi: lol, I thought I was the only crazy one that did that. Glad I'm not alone.
Cid: Most of my tights (including today's) come from Forever 21, also get quite a few from Winners (the Canadian equivalent of TJ Maxx or Marshalls)
Em X: I've used the marker many a time too, it often shows up kinda red-ish or brown-ish though, I find nail polish usually works better for small scuffs (or changing the entire colour of the shoes)
